Lexi has been practicing pilates for over ten years. After being injured in a car accident she turned to pilates to build strength, increase stability, mobility, and flexibility when traditional physical therapy did not work. Combining her passion of helping others and her love of pilates, she completed the comprehensive Balanced Body Pilates Certification. Never one to slow down, she then went on to complete her RYT 200 hour yoga teacher training certification and her Reiki Practitioner certification. She has experience teaching both group and private sessions and has worked with a variety of clients of all skill levels, experience and injuries including back and neck injuries, traumatic brain injury, scoliosis, and body imbalances. When not at work, she can be found spending time with friends and family.

WELCOME JENNY APRIL
Jenny April, DPT blends her knowledge of classical physical therapy with the holistic traditions of the Gyrotonic® Method & yoga to create a fresh perspective on physical rehabilitation.
Jenny April graduated from Stony Brook University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program, with a focus on a Motor Learning approach to Orthopedic Rehabilitation. She specializes in the treatment of chronic pain, back pain, postural misalignment, and stability issues.
Her treatments are informed by Feldenkrais, the Alexander Technique, and Cranial Sacral Therapy, which address principles of alignment and breath awareness necessary to prevent re-injury and create maximal postural stability and ease. She is also able to identify chronic dysfunctional movement habits and facilitate healthy breathing and neuromuscular patterns in her clients.
Additionally, her dynamic background in figure skating, acrobatics, dance, and soccer allow Jenny April to tailor sport specific home exercise programs designed to take athletes and dancers to the next level of kinesthetic proficiency.
